Hibernating until Spring

I’ve really struggled this past week with staying motivated and just generally getting sh*t done (such a blue Monday cliché I know), it’s also very safe to say that I don’t have the time to be procrastinating with a tax return due to be filled next week! So I’ve made a little unconventional plan, instead of forcing myself to sit at my desk all day feeling unmotivated I may aswell curl up in a blanket on the sofa with my Macbook or even better on the bed, the work is still getting done wherever I am working from so why am I beating myself up about where I work, at what time of day and who cares if I’m in my pyjamas from 3pm? We’ve got to do what we can to get to the end of the never-ending month of January right?

Throughout January I’ve also been making a conscious effort to schedule regular self care into my week including reading in bed before I sleep, daily 10 minute Yoga, relaxing baths and swimming. Before Christmas I wrote a blog post on The Eco Duvet, which you can read by clicking on the link at the bottom of this post and I’m sure switching to this anti allergenic, sustainable duvet has been a huge factor in my sleeping pattern being relatively good considering I’m constantly anxious about managing my workload when I’ve been so unmotivated, the 2018 Natalie would be awake well into the early hours worrying about balancing life.

That’s it for this weeks blog post and hopefully, next week I’ll be back with a post written from said duvet curled up in bed. If you don’t hear from me next week it’s because the tax return took way longer than expected (fingers crossed that isn’t the case)…
