We’ve booked our Euro Tunnel tickets and are hoping to be on our way to our new life in Spain (love that Channel 4 show) very soon. It’s all very exciting & we can’t wait to get started on our renovation project. The big job we’re now facing (along with general pandemic home working/home schooling etc) is to arrange the shipping of our home to Spain, as you can imagine as a family of 3 with a dog we have a lot of stuff. I didn’t declutter fully when we moved out of Little Mill House last year as we were only moving down the road so hired a van & just threw everything in the back, going up & down over the weekend. This time things are a little different. Over the past few weeks we’ve been boxing up everything we can in the garage ready to send an inventory over of the items we need shipping in order to get accurate quotes (I don’t want to pay for a larger van than needed but equally I’m having sleepless nights worrying that we won’t have enough room come moving day).
I’ve huge piles of items that I need to sell/give away from furniture right down to clothing & glassware. I used to give a lot to the charity shops locally but have noticed more & more recently (pre pandemic) that the people working in them are so ungrateful, despite me only sending lovely items in good condition. I’ve also noticed how much seems to end up in the bin out back too!
So whilst looking for alternatives to get rid of things that still have life in them I was contacted by the team at Preloved and after chatting over the last few weeks I’m now officially a Preloved ambassador! I’m going to be using the App to both sell & give away pieces over the next month & will be sharing the process over on Instagram. I’ve downloaded the app ready & will begin listing this week (search Natalie Lockwood on advertisers if you’re interested).
If you’re also having a lockdown clear out then I have a discount code that will give you full membership for £3 per year (usually £5) or premium membership for £10 per year (usually £15), I’m going with the full membership for now so will see how well I do there. Can’t wait to get this part sorted & know ALL of the items I’d like to keep are going to make it to Granada!
Pin for later…
