O.K, the clocks went back a couple of weeks ago now and last night it was dark at around 4pm! Anyone used to it yet? No, me neither. I’ve put together a little selection of lighting ideas to brighten up your evenings and make you excited to close the curtains and wrap up warm.
Our new collection of Greypants pendant lighting is made from recycled cardboard boxes and comes in all shapes and sizes. These pendants give off a warm glow perfect for winter dining or curling up with a christmas interiors magazine (we’ve surely all bought one by now?).
If lamps are more your thing our Jam Jar lamps come with a range of coloured cables which can be twisted into cool shapes or hung on a hook as a wall light (they are also available as a cool wall or pendant light too). Our antique decanter lamps look a little bit special placed in any room, they’re also on offer at the moment.
If you fancy a bit of rainy day DIY make like I did and jazz up a dated lamp shade, all you need is a small can of spray paint in your chosen colour (choosing a colour will take the most time if you’re anything like me). Strip all the fabric from your old lampshade, give the frame a wipe down then you’re ready to start painting. Make sure everything is covered in newspaper or a dustsheet and spray in thin layers, add a cool bulb and that’s it!
Let’s not forget that cosy evenings in wouldn’t be complete without a warm scented candle lit, at this time of year a rich, current scent such as Merlot from our Rewined range is my favourite.
