Inspired By Blue Monday

As if Mondays weren’t bad enough today is named BLUE MONDAY…apparently the most depressing day of the year thanks to christmas being long over, New years resolutions being failed and post christmas bills arriving.

Unfortunately I can’t help with that but I can get you (and I) through the day with some inspiring blue interior schemes to swoon the day away browsing.

First up is this stunning space with the most amazing teal floor, there is no way I could feel blue if I was sitting there (with a glass of wine and a bowl of spaghetti I’d be on top of the world).

How gorgeous is this watercolour wall by Murals Wallpaper? Seriously lusting after it for the wall behind the bed…the styling in this shot is spot on too, I could easily curl up there with a copy of The Life-Changing Magic of Not Giving A F**k (if you haven’t read it, do! Sarah Knight is a genius).

Probably the perfect example of a rustic, blue kitchen paired with bright white it has a real ‘old meets new’ vibe going on and I love it.

I know we see a lot of this style of dark blue room around at the moment but I just love it with the worn leather headboard (if anyone wants to buy me an old leather gym mat I’d love you forever) and the pink to soften the space.

How do you use blue in your home? And is it Tuesday yet…?
