Happy 2016

Happy New Year

Hopefully you’re settling back into normality after the Christmas break? As most of you know I’m now a proud mummy to a 3 month old boy and I’m happy to finally be creating our new ‘normal’ after such a hectic festive period.

Firstly I’d like to thank our lovely customers for making Christmas 2015 our best yet at Little Mill House, it was such a shock to receive so many orders when I’d been so absent from blogging and social media! I’d also like to thank all of our followers across all networks for sticking with us through the silence and occasional baby spam, things are slowly getting back to the usual upcycling and interior design inspiration you’re so used to (I can’t promise to lose the baby spam completely mind you).

So, what’s the plan for 2016? If you’re anything like me you will already have lists and Pinterest boards of ideas to update your pad this year. At the top of my list is to finally finish our kitchen updates we started way back at the beginning of 2015, before a rough pregnancy and planning the nursery took over. Here’s a look at the progress before we got the shelving and lights up:

All it needs now is a final coat of paint and styling up, I’ll post photos when it’s done. Other than finishing the kitchen I’ve got my eye on some bedroom updates, now baby Jasper has such a beautiful nursery I’m feeling left out and want to make the master bedroom feel a little more luxurious. I’m planning a little gallery wall in the nursery for all the special keepsakes that are just too cute not to frame for him to see as he’s growing up. Other than that all my focus will be on balancing Little Mill House with being the best mummy I can be.

So what are your 2016 interior plans?
