This year I’m bringing back out all for the bold red decorations and plates that I’d fallen out of love with previously. I’ve brought out my vintage style (which are probably almost classed as authentic vintage I’ve had them that long) Cath Kidston plates which look super festive paired with this vintage gold bamboo cutlery I picked up from a second hand fair in Saltaire. I’ve added height with vintage brass candlesticks and recycled bottles filled with christmassy red tulips, I’m not usually a fan of bright flowers but I’m embracing the ‘more is more’ attitude this year and going all out red and gold. These little recycled candle holders are great for the table setting as they take up little room and add a twinkle (as if the fairy lights don’t twinkle enough right?).
The new items I added we’re all really good value as I couldn’t justify spending lots on table settings this year. The red tablecloth is from H&M Home, the hessian star runner from The Range and the gold star centrepiece filled with succulents & ivy is from B&Q.
And of course I added more red (and more Gin) to the bar cart. The ‘NOEL’ bunting I made a few years back and the red reindeer bowl is filled with chocolates, in case I get peckish when making the drinks!
What look are you planning on going for this year? Natural, Scandi or Neon maybe?
