Last year I wrote a blog post for Chinese New Year featuring some seriously inspiring oriental interiors, as you know I’m a huge fan of the effect a statement oriental piece can bring to a space, especially an eclectic one. I wasn’t going to write a post for CNY this year as I thought you could find it a little repetitive but since it’s the year of the dog and there are SO MANY dog inspired home accessories around at the moment I decided I could probably get away with a little moodboard inspired by mans best friend.
This Osborne & Little wallpaper has been a favourite of mine for a while now, if only there was somewhere it would work in our home (hmmm), I love how the velvet chair lifts the neutral colour palette in a shade which gives a nod the the Pantone Colour of the Year 2018, add the recycled fabric whippet cushion and you’ve created the perfect spot to enjoy a brew snuggled up to your pooch. How funny is this dog silhouette magazine rack with a newspaper rolled up in it’s mouth, I’d quite like it in the downstairs loo…and finally is a home even complete these days without some balloon dog decor? This neon light is my favourite example at the minute.
