As many of you who follow Little Mill House on Instagram will already know last month we bought a house in Spain. Finally our emigration journey has begun properly. The property we found is in a town near Granada city, it’s a renovation project that needs some basics doing before we can stay there but eventually we plan to convert it into 4 units & airbnb them. Here’s a sneaky first peek of the house, as you can see there is a lot of work to be done!
We are SO excited to get out there & start work, I’ve been sketching plans & hunting for electricians to help us (that’s going to be our first job) so work has been going on from here in the UK but blimey, I can’t describe how low my mood can get when I’m here and just want to be out there starting work on our new home. It’s so strange to purchase a house then the day after lock it up & fly away without even having the chance to do a clean up of the place.
When Photowall contacted me about a potential collaboration with them I had a quick scan of their designs to see whether anything jumped out at me that I loved & would work well in our home (both this rental & our new house in Spain), it seemed like fate when I found this stunning photo print of the Alhambra Palace in Granada which instantly brought me out of my slump!
Knowing that it’s unlikely that we will be heading out there as planned at the end of this month (thanks Coronavirus) I’m hoping that looking at this print in our temporary living room will make me smile daily until we can get back.
