Introducing the Dyberg Larsen Illumin pendant light…it gives us the freedom to personalise our lighting without needing the ‘offputting’ technical ability of making a light fitting ourselves. There are two options available the Magazine light or the Create-Your-Own, the magazine light comes with a huge selection of pre cut recycled magazine pages for you to pick out colours or themes you like and will work within your home decor, the create your own is for you to build the shade out of cuttings of your choice. I’m planning (when I ever get around to styling our bedroom) to use the create-your-own with wedding photographs as the leaves, maybe even printed in the style of polaroids. Here’s some of my favourite ideas I’ve come across so far:
- Newspaper cuttings
- Colourful cereal boxes
- Kids drawings
- Old photographs
- Travel postcards
Once you’ve decided what you’re going to use to create your personalised pendant light it’s really simple to assemble.
The light comes beautifully boxed with or without the leaves depending on which choice you ordered.
And with simple, photographed instructions for how to build up the light fitting…
Once you’ve assembled the skeleton, you can fit the light in position.
Then it’s ready for your leaves of choice…
Et Voila! Here’s the magazine light fitted and complete in a recent barbers shop project, what do you think? I’d love to hear any more ideas for what you’d use as leaves on your light? I might even send one out to see my favourite idea brought to life…
