Happy New Year!!! It feels like forever since my last blog post. I hope you’ve all had a lovely festive break however you spent it. We had a very quiet one this year and it’s been completely lovely, having time for playing, walks, cooking & movie watching whenever we feel like it…it’s been perfect! I have to admit the towards the back end of last year I was feeling a little uninspired when it came to the blog as my main focus had been a number of interior design deadlines but after a break & some family time I’m SO ready to get back into the swing of things and get creating again!
So who else has not only been reflecting on the past year but also the entire decade we’ve just left behind? It was a big one here at LMH, we bought a house, got engaged, bought our first baby Ruben, got married, started this blog & the interior design business, had our first human baby & sold our house! I feel exhausted just writing that list but I also feel a huge sense of pride in what I’ve achieved. 2019 itself was a great one for the interior design side of LMH with lots of great projects completed and in progress.
The last few days have been spent working out my main goals for 2020 and thought I’d share a few on here, mainly to keep myself accountable.
- Grow my online interior design business – I’ve been pretty static with the amount of projects I’ve taken on over the past few years due to wanting to spend as much time as possible with the little man, with him due to start school in September it means I can now start to plan some growth in the business & take on more projects along with larger projects. Find more details on how I could help with your design project here.
- Buy a house – This is a big one that not many of you know about yet, in August last year we sold our house & moved into rented. The plan is to buy a renovation project in Spain & to move out there later this year, ready for the first school term in September. We are planning on having holiday lets out there so I’ll be sharing more once I have something solid to share (fingers crossed).
- Celebrate turning 30 – I have a milestone birthday coming up next year that I really don’t want to let pass by, I’d like to research and book a small & large trip to celebrate with family & friends. To get this right I need to schedule some time to plan it properly. If you’ve any suggestions please send me some!
Our love of travel & Spain are deep routed! Similar photo 3 years apart!
What plans and goals do you have for 2020 and the new decade?
