Easy ideas to add candles to your festive decor!

I don’t know about you but throughout Christmas and all through winter my favourite way to relax and make my home feel cosy is with candles. I like to have a couple of beautifully scented candles throughout the house and scatter lightly scented tealights everywhere. Below are a couple of easy DIY upcycles for pretty tealight holders using waste materials we all have plenty of at this time of year.

I’ve made loads of these tin can tealight holders this year, the shapes create such interest and the copper makes my living room feel so much warmer. They’re really simple to make using standard tin cans, carefully pierce the holes into the cans in your chosen shapes using a nail and hammer (filling the tins with water and freezing them makes doing this a little easier), spray paint them in your chosen colours, then once dry add your tealight!

Jars are another thing we collect lots of over christmas from all the mincemeat and yummy chutneys. These tealight holders are simply made from any glass jar and some vintage lace trimming. Just glue the lace to the jar, let it dry and pop your tealight in. The lace projects amazing shadows on the walls creating a cosy space.

The green glass on our Rewined candles create a lovely glow and smell amazing when lit and unlit, perfect for adding fragrance to your home this season.
