Today I thought I’d give you a little insight behind the scenes at Little Mill House. As some of you may know all of our soft furnishings and upholstery are done in house and here are some images of the workspace.
This large smooth surfaced table doubles up as the sewing and cutting table. A small selection of vintage textiles and useful nick nacks are stashed in upcycled crate shelves. The giant black anglepoise style lamp both looks stylish and is vital for focusing light over the area you’re working. The limited edition Singer 160 sewing machine is another stylish feature which is also the best machine I’ve ever used.
The table base has been fitted with upcycled Hessian coffee sack curtains which look great and make underneath the table a useful storage space.
All creative spaces need inspiration so this upcycled cheese ladder is perfect for storing admin bits and doubling up to hold mood boards, books, magazines and colourful inspiration collected on my travels with the addition of pretty pom poms and my favourite William Morris book quote.

And of course the room wouldn’t be complete without a place for my hardworking assistant to take a break!
