Back in July I was approached to collaborate with a bathroom company on a bathroom revamp using some of their products, such a lovely thing to be offered however I didn’t need a new bathroom suite as the one we have isn’t that old and works perfectly. There was no way as an upcycler I could justify the project as tempting as it was. It did however make me want to makeover the bathroom a little as it has been the room we’ve done the least with since we moved into LMH. The bathroom currently has an art deco look going on with silver tiles and a black bath panel.
We’re planning to change the look of the room completely to a rustic, natural bathroom more in keeping with the rest of the decor throughout the house, without retiling or changing the suite. We’ve got some great companies involved to help (I’m so excited to see how the industrial shower curtain rail and reclaimed wood bath panel transform the space) and plan to have the makeover completed by the beginning of next month (watch this space). My inspiration for the room came from Pinterest, doesn’t it always? We’re going to paint the tiles and the walls, create a little gallery wall to add some interest and fill the space with plants. The only thing I’m not fully decided on is a shower curtain so if you’ve seen any that will work with what we’re trying to create I’d love your input!
We’ve also nearly finished our bedroom makeover (yay, finally), you can see some behind the scenes progress on Instagram and I’ll hopefully have it finished to show you in the next week or two.
